The Top Ten pool is very simple. For each event during the season, you pick who you think
will finish in the top ten, in order. You must pick a team for each position (for NASCAR
you pick a driver, but we refer to each driver as a 'team').
Scoring: Each positions value is on a scale with 1st place being worth up to 19 points and 10th place being worth up to 10 points. If you pick the correct team in the correct
position, you get total points for that position. If your selection made the top ten, but not in the spot you picked, you get total value minus how far you were off. For example, if you picked Team X to finish 2nd (max possible for 2nd is 18 points, 20-2) but they actually finished 4th, you were off by 2 so you get 16 points. If your selection does not make the top ten, you get zero points for that pick. For example, if you pick Team Y to finish 10th and they finish 11th, you get zero.
The formula is (20-Position) - How far you were off.
A perfect score for any event would be 145 points. That would require all ten picks to be
exactly correct.
Tiebreaker suggestion is to go with whichever player was closest on the first place finish. If that's a tie, 2nd place finish, and so on until a winner is declared.
Points from each week/event are accumulated into your total season score.
